The Orange County Convention Center’s (OCCC) mission is economic development while providing outstanding service to its clients, exhibitors and attendees.  Celebrating more than 30 years of success, the OCCC is the second largest convention facility in the United States, owned and operated by Orange County Government. The center attracts more than 200 events to the Central Florida area each year. As a result, roughly 1.4 million attendees contribute approximately $2.1 billion to the area’s annual economy.

Owned and operated by Orange County Government, the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) is one of very few facilities of its kind.   In addition to providing exceptional service to event planners, exhibitors and attendees, the OCCC serves the local community as an engine designed to promote economic growth to local businesses by bringing millions of dollars into the area.  All funding for operational and expansion costs are generated by a tourism and resort tax, not local tax dollars.

OCCC customers include, but are not limited to, the following groups:

*Professional Associations
*Medical Associations
*Trade Associations
*Trade Show Owners
*Educational Associations
*Scientific Organizations
*Religious Groups
*Promoters of Consumer & Ticket Events

On average, the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) hosts approximately one million delegates annually and provides a $1.9 billion dollar total economic impact annually to the Central Florida economy, all at no cost to Orange County Citizens.  In addition to the $1.9 billion dollar annual impact, convention-related businesses and educational events known as “conventions” contribute the following to the Orange County economy:

*More than 25,500 employees are impacted directly or indirectly by the OCCC
*More than 1,000 businesses are impacted by OCCC activity
*The OCCC’s activity yields a tax savings of $87.50 per Orange County household

For over twenty years, the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) has sought ways to work with Orange County citizens and leaders to provide a world-class meeting destination while also promoting public awareness and recruiting human and financial resources.  This winning partnership has produced some impressive results, including $1.9 billion in annual economic impact and support for 1,000 local businesses.
